White Sauce or Bechamel Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 ¼ cup Milk, heated
  • To taste Salt & Pepper
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese, grated


  • Set the sauce pan over the medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Stir in the flour and keep stirring for 2 minutes, don’t let it brown.
  • Add in the hot milk and continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Add salt & pepper to taste; lower the heat.
  • Stir in the cheese and cook for about 2 minutes, occasionally stirring.
  • Remove from the heat.
