Nutty Chicken

  • 750 gms Chicken, cleaned and disjointed
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 500 gms Sour Curd
  • To taste Salt & chili powder
  • 250 gms Powdered Almonds
  • 50 gms Blanched Almonds
  • 100 gms Unsalted Butter
  • 100 gms Cream
  • 1 tsp Black Cumin
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Green Chili paste
  • ¼ tsp Saffron, soaked in 1 tbsp hot milk


  • Marinate chicken in curd, garlic ginger paste, salt and chili powder; set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Roast or grill the chicken till cooked.
  • Heat butter, add cumin; when it starts crackling, add ground almonds, and mix well.
  • Add the chicken, green chili paste, coriander leaves and ¾ of the cream; cook over a slow fire for 5 minutes.
  • Put in a serving dish; mix in the remaining cream and saffron.
  • Garnish with mixed nuts and raisin, serve hot.
